Salvatore Molettieri has produced a top-quality wine from his vines, making the most of his experience and innovation. His Aglianico has a character that few wines possess. The vines found at the highest point of Mount Montemarano, where the grapes benefit from a continental climate, with thermal currents, that allow a later harvest and slower maturation process.
After the grapes have been harvested, around the start to middle of November, the fermentation takes place in steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After that they stay around 48 months in large oak barrels. Then it is allowed to refine once bottled for at least 6 more months.
The results speak for themselves, a ruby red wine, with flecks of almost purple, offering an incredible bouquet of red fruits, spices, elegant smoky balsamic notes, cloves, and cacao. Your palate will be delighted a very balanced wine, with some, but not overbearing tannins.
A marvellous option to serve with game, and mature cheeses.
