De Angelis is probably the most established cantina in Sorrento – producing wine since 1936.
Its most prized wine is a red wine with an aromatic bouquet.
The “Nero del Tasso” dedicated to Sorrento’s famous poet.
A bright Ruby red in colour, with hints of blackberry, black pepper, and liquorice worthy of the best Aglianico’s.
Upon trying you will find it is a smooth, full-bodied wine, with elegant tannins, thanks to it being barrel aged for a year with a 1st or 2nd press.
It’s the perfect wine to accompany all the local dishes of this area, such as Gnocchi alla Sorrentina, pasta timballi and of course a ragù. And don’t forget grilled meats or tenderly cooked meat in a tomato sauce.
