The flavour is fruity and not too strong, while the aroma is intense – this liqueur was very popular with the American soldiers stationed in Naples, between 1944 and 1945, and this ensured that it became a very popular drink. Its uses in baking are almost infinite, and a glass after dinner is always well received as its fruity flavour is enjoyed by everyone. In fact, this is enjoyed in homes all over the peninsula just as much as its more famous counterpart Limoncello!
