The history of pizza
Arriving at the oil mill with a comfortable courtesy car, you will meet the staff who will accompany you throughout the food tour and the pizza lesson. Sipping a welcoming drink, Francesca, Viola or a member of our staff will explain you about the ancient origins of pizza and the different styles of pizza in the world. For example: the differences between the slice pizza and the Neapolitan one. You will then be ready for the practical part! Making your first pizza!
Claudio, our expert pizza maker, will show you how to make a dough for your pizza, it's time to get your hands dirty and work with water, yeast and flour!
You will season the pizza as a true master and bake your first "gastronomic work of art" with Claudio. Tomato, Mozzarella and Basil! Can you imagine the scent?
Tasting of pizza and typical products
After a lot of work it is time to taste! Sitting in a wisteria shade, facing the majestic Vesuvius, you will taste your pizza and many typical local products such as Caprese salad (Mozzarella and Sorrento tomato), Capocollo and cured meats that we produce, grilled vegetables and many other local and seasonal products
There will also be a sweet surprise at the end of the tasting.
Tasting of Limoncello and Sorrento liqueurs
Limoncello is the typical liqueur of Sorrento, imitated all over the world but only here you can taste the original one made with real Sorrento’s lemons. If you want, we will explain how it is made but above all we will let you taste our yellow gold! In addition to limoncello we are happy to let you taste our creams of lemon, pistachio, chocolate, babà, melon and many other flavors that we make here in our territory.
Our pizza school with tasting ends with drop off at your hotel after approximately 3 hours.
